Talking about reporting news without context. Here’s an example what it would be like if current news is linked to history related to the news item:-

A chronicle of lies by George W. Bush that lead to the American invasion of Iraq which have cost so many innocent lives.

Amazing job by motherjones - looks like that blogger is really on the ball.
Motherjones is lef wing propganda. I wouldn’t put any stock in what they write. Look at Malaysia and the way your country treats the Chinese minority and the povery, especially outside of the city. Worry about your King and your government before you call our President a liar.
As they say little minds worry about little stuff. I like to worry about bigger issues such as the lives of 3000 American soldierss which are lost now due to the lies of your president. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives, which have been extinguished. Iraq has nothing to do with 9-11, even your president admits that and the plan to invade Iraq was set way before 9-11 ever happened. The bin Laden family is very close to the Bushies and the CIA team which were tasked to find Osama have now been disbanded, I don’t think your president cares about the death of 3000 Americans during 9-11. It’s just an opportunity for him to rape the American constitution and invade Iraq. It took him more than a year to open a public inquiry into the events of 9-11 and that is only after enormous pressure from the families of the 9-11 victims.
The impact of American foreign policy to world peace (not to mention climate change) is enormous so as a citizen of the world I have strong reasons to be concerned.
I worry too about the human rights abuses in China which forces the Chinese people to find a better living elsewhere. Even a third world country like Malaysia is much-much better for them. The Chinese people are willing to pay thousands of dollars to snakeheads so that they are smuggled to other countries and they are willing to risk their lives for that freedom. Without a doubt the country that treats the Chinese people the worst is China. I remember and care about Tiananmen square where people are mowed down by tanks and shot at just because they wanted democracy. Currently China is filtering searches on the Internet for words such as “human rights”, “democracy”, “Taiwanese independence”, “Tibetan independence” and they don’t have the freedom to blog and discuss openly about the things that we take for granted.
I worry about the Tibetans whose country have been annexed by China and whose government have been in exile since 1959.
I think those are worthwhile things to think about so I don’t subscribe to your logic where if there are imperfections in Malaysia then I should ignore the whole world.
Elaine, you are just to funny. Dont ever loose your sense of humor.
