Today Malaysia celebrates it’s 49th years of independence from British1 rule. I say Woohoo or translated into Malay…Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! 
No more stealing of our natural resources to feed the evil empire. The evil regime who puts people like Gandhi in prison and labeled our freedom fighters as terrorists and plant the seeds of destruction in the Middle East which is still raging right now.
To that I stand up and proudly sing our national anthem :-
Negaraku, tanah tumpahnya darahku,
Rakyat hidup, bersatu dan maju,
Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan,
Raja kita, selamat bertakhta.
Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan,
Raja kita, selamat bertakhta.2
Malaysia, I’m so grateful to be living in this beautiful country… and may God protect this country from evil which is currently raping, killing, torturing and pillaging in other far away lands.
Of course as a member of “The Evil Empire” I could take offence
But I don’t as all of the European empires did things that we their descendants should lokk on with horror and disgust.

You don’t have to take offence. I do realize that there is a difference between Evil Empirians and the foreign policy of the Evil Empire. Being an Evil Empirian does not mean one support the Evilo-Empiro-Fascist policy of the Evil Empire and also my disgust with the Evil Empire does not translate down to hatred for the Empirians.

Yes you’re probably right. The king is largely a symbolic figure who does not really run the country. Kinda like the Queen in the UK and also ‘The King’ in the USA (I believe his name is Elvis).
Hail to Malaysia! I’ve never been to the country, but my friend has, and she loved it. The nation’s definitely loaded with rich history and magnificent culture to go with its beautiful landscape.
