I was looking at my web logs and found a hit from Taiwan and it turned out to be from a Chinese language rap oriented website using the Tiga WordPress theme I’ve created a while back.
Ok, I’m taking a big risk posting this because this site might change it’s theme at any time, but what the hey…… I just can’t resist it because I find that their music is pretty catchy and deserves a shout out.

The color change to predominantly black seems to work quite well here.

Actually I’d prefer if people communicate via this website rather that direct e-mail because then other people can see the question and answers and learn from the problems that other people are having.
BTW, I see that you’re using version 0.6 of the theme. I think you’d like the latest version (0.8) much better because with it you can configure a few styling options from the admin pages itself.

Of course, and better yet, my question was about editing. I really wanted to get a Google leaderboard in the header area or before the first post across the top. Is there any way to do that?

If you want to do that you need to add the following code:-
at the end of ‘header.php’.
You can see an example of a website doing this here.
ok…I upddated, knowing I would loose my ads but what I thought I could do is back up the sidebar.php and use the code from the .6 sidebar.php but it didn’t work, plus when I updated, the right side is off the page kinda. Can you take a look and tell me what you think? Thanks a bunch!!!

I’ve passed that page through the validator and this is what I’ve got.
For further help on debugging you should read this response.
It is always a good practice to have your website validate cleanly so that it looks good on all browsers.
We’ll I guess you already know what my favorite new tool is! I deleted that post. Ran the tool, and it passed. I then reloaded .8 and the alignment is back ^5! Thank you~
What are your thoughts on the ads not appearing taking the code for the sidebar code from .6 and putting in the .8v? Is it something that just is not compatible or should I try using the actual php file, and not just the code?!?
Hi Jeff,
There a quite a number of changes that goes between 0.6 to 0.8 (there was 0.7 and 0.7.1 between that.).
My suggestion is that you don’t use your changes in 0.6. It will be much faster if you install the latest release and add your changes to the sidebar
in a clean 0.8 install.

Yes, excellent, I was thinking the same. Thanks for the links to the articles and all the help! I have to say, I was looking at the changes in the menu. Alot of style changes I can do there. Very Very nice. There is only a handful, (it seems) of 3 column templates, but I think this is by far the best one IMO (in my opinion).

Hii again..well I need your help once again. I scrubbed the whole site pretty much because the html editor I was using caused to many errors, but after fresh install, im still getting to errors. I can see them if I view the source, but im not sure what file it is I must edit. Can you take a look for me please?

I want to say that your theme is excellent, not only in-terms of looks but also maintainability and ease of modification. Everything is so well thought off (the widgets). You wouldn’t believe the template I was using last time - pure headache to extend. Aagain, TQ TQ TQ!

Love the tiga theme, except for one thing. That is the big gap between the top banner and the text in pages/posts. It doesn’t look right to me (see www.thegreencollege.com). In fact it looks ugly to my eyes.
Don’t know anything/practically anything about CSS but I am not afraid to edit files/style sheets, etc.
Advice would be appreciated. For anybody else reading this, please don’t visit the site right now as we are in a little bit of a mess until we get a good theme (tiga) sorted out!
Essential info. is there but … we would rather you didn’t visit until the package looks pretty!
